Let’s talk Peeps… ya know, the squishy, marsh mellow-y things that used to only come out at Easter? Ya… the ones that are out for EVERY holiday now, in every color of the rainbow.
I used to get them for my son, who LOVED them, but now seems to have outgrown them..(hate how kids have to grow up! ) He loved to squish them in his fingers, and play with them.. everything but eat them.. till the very end, when they were just a squishy ball of goo.
Now the peep line seems to be expanding…to THESE..
OREO PEEP COOKIES!!! say it isn’t soooooooo!
Yes… I had to try them….
My first impression was that they were a very bright, pretty pink, but alas, too sweet for these taste buds.
I must confess that I haven’t had much sugar of late, so that may have played into it..but I felt they were also a little gritty.which probably makes sense, considering regular Peeps have the sugar coating on them…,
BUT…..my daughter and husband LOVED them… sugar addicts that they are…..
So… not so much a fan, but I’m sure the sugar aholics of the world are rejoicing!
So HEY there, fellow bloggy’s…. Just letting you know, I’ve decided to change my blog name… I mean, why not? I love Coffee… and what do you do when you sit with a friend, and have a cup of joe together?? Yup.. you got it… TALK..
So lets TALK!
I’ll still post pics and such, but this is more fitting a name I think..
Hope you stick around and chat with me.!
Oh.. and for those trying to remember the David Bowie tune, mentioned above.. here ya GO!
What else is there to do when its been snowing and blowing for days? When wicked wind chills and mounds of snow are every where? Well, you play with skittles!
Happy New Year and all that good stuff… so they say. I know, it’s a little late, but hey…
So I’ve been working on some new things, and trying to finish up some older projects. I kind of got sidelined with the holidays, etc…but am hoping to keep one day a week, just for this blog. I think it will be therapeutic, fun, and hopefully will get me some of my photo mojo back…
This past summer, we were able to visit with some good friends, and go for a peaceful spin down the river on their pontoon boat… my friends husband had a huge lens, ( I want to say 500mm, but don’t quote me, .. I’m 50 now, and don’t remember.. LOL ) and it was also a Canon ( Nikon girl here) so it took me a little bit to figure out what the heck I was doing… It was fun trying to catch pics of all the wildlife birds… I live in the woods up Nawth, and I think I saw more birds on this trip, “in the city”, then I do in the clear cold rivers and lakes of NH…
(p.s. first time in forever I’ve had to edit a JPEG, and not a RAW photo… ughhh!! lol)
Awesome day, awesome friends, memories forever.
I guess you could say we all go thru “dry” spells, to a point.. and I guess you could say,
I’ve been in one.
I turned 50 in April, so maybe that’s what happened… Who knows.. Life has been crazy the last few years with loss, health changes, family changes… grief, joy, you name it, it’s happened.
My intentions have been to continue working on the blog, but it just didn’t happen. Ive been sitting on a few ideas, and projects, but lacking confidence and motivation to do them.
So I have wiped my blog clean and am starting over.. stay tuned… It’s really gonna happen!
